co-CEO, Founder (Managing Partner)
Russell cofounded DYNALABS in November of 2003. He is in charge of the day to day operating activities within the organization, driven mainly by the laboratory. This includes managing a comprehensive array of services and programs which centers on innovative ways to enhance our business model.

Russell has over 25 years of experience that spans basic research, product development, operations and quality management, in the medical diagnostic, life sciences, and pharmacy industry segments. Russell has used his experience and knowledge, as well as his skills in communication and influence, to establish a successful track record of mobilizing global cross functional teams around the definition and attainment of common goals and objectives. These strengths, combined with his expertise in project and program management, have translated into the successful world-wide launch of more than 700 products over his career.

Russell received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology at the University of Alberta, and his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Outside of work: Russell is a member of the Financial Advisor Board at the University of Missouri St. Louis, and has volunteered his time as a guest speaker and mentor at the Washington University, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Fontbonne University, and University of Missouri St. Louis.

co-CEO, Founder (Managing Partner)
Michael cofounded DYNALABS in November, 2003. He is in charge of the legal, regulatory and administrative functionality of the organization.. Michael also manages investor relations and capital acquisition targets to extend/strengthen the company’s business model.

Michael has over 30 years of experience in pharmacy, management and business consulting. Prior to co-founding DYNALABS, Michael worked as an independent management consultant, where he specialized in performance maximization. He holds five patents, one of which is for a pharmaceutical delivery device marketed worldwide. He has held management positions in small start-up companies and large corporations, including Sigma-Aldrich.

Outside work: Michael volunteers as a guest speaker at St. Louis University, University of Missouri at St. Louis and Washington University, as well as volunteering his time with a local animal charity.

President (Managing Partner)
Jun was part of the DYNALABS start-up team in 2003. He led the technical design, development and implementation of the www.dynalabs.us and developed the initial Go-To-Market Strategy.  With over 20 years’ experience, Jun joined DYNALABS in 2014 as their CTO responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of DYNALABS technology development. In addition, Jun will be playing an integral role in DYNALABS’ strategic direction, development, and future growth internationally.

Jun’s experience, includes critical roles as International Market Development Manager for Monsanto Company, Senior Management Consultant for Computer Science Corporation, Internal Business Consultant for Ameren Corporation, and Global Solutions Director for Maritz Inc.

Known for his thought-provoking insights and strong leadership skills, Jun is always eager to innovate and reinvent business solutions. His ability to identify technical and business trends across industries and then translating these into business and technical solutions that drive measurable financial results for clients and stakeholders is a trademark of Jun’s expertise.

Steve Crouse

Chief Financial Officer, CFO

Steve joined DYNALABS in 2016, and has more than 30 years of experience in finance, operations, and human resource management.

Steve has a proven track record of success when working with fast-growing companies; he especially enjoys guiding a company through the intricacies of debt management and providing financial insight during long-term strategic planning.  Steve is skilled in team building, and in providing real-time financial analysis so that decision-makers can be fully informed.

Director of Quality
Carla joined the DYNALABS team in October 2013.  In her position as the Director of Quality she is responsible for daily QA operations as well as corporate projects supporting both ISO certification and FDA regulatory compliance.

Carla has almost 30 years of experience including analytical and micro laboratory management, quality control, quality assurance, food safety and regulatory affairs roles supporting pharmaceutical and food manufacturers.

Regulatory Affairs
Gary was an advisor in the formative years of DYNALABS and later a consultant. He was present on the early discussions that eventually led to the creation of the DVx and later he help lay the groundwork for adapting good manufacturing practices that are the basis of the quality and operation unit practices at DYNALABS today. With over 30 years’ experience, Gary joined DYNALABS in 2015 and is responsible for regulatory affairs. As an internationally recognized expert in pharmaceutical analysis with a focus on vibrational spectroscopy and multivariate analysis, process analytics, quality assurance, Gary’s experience includes increasing responsibilities in quality control, technical services, research and development and new technologies with Schein Pharmaceuticals and Purdue Pharma. Gary served as Scientific Fellow for Process Analytical Technology and Liaison to the General Chapters, Pharmaceutical Waters and Statistics Expert Committee’s from 2003 through 2008 for the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). Gary also served as Consultant with his own company, Garton Consulting, providing analytical and quality solutions for various large pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical firms from 2009 through 2015 and as Director of Scientific Affairs for InfraTrac. Gary has more than twenty-five peer reviewed papers and book chapter contributions; four issued patents, numerous industry journal articles and has been invited to give conference and symposia presentations worldwide.  He was President of The Council for Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (2012-2014).

Gary’s combined experience in industry and regulatory agencies has allowed him to quickly see through problems and provide solutions. Gary has a deep appreciation for pharmaceutical regulatory science. This coupled with his hands on experience in pharmaceutical and process analysis allows him to provide solutions that are both practical and compliant. Gary has demonstrated leadership and organization skills at both the domestic and international levels, having led a 47 member consortium of pharmaceutical industry and regulatory bodies to revise a national standard for the USP. He has chaired committees for the ASTM International and the International Diffuse Reflectance Conference (IDRC).

Chemistry Manager
Sam began with DYNALABS in February of 2013.  He is responsible for oversight of special projects, method development, and analytical troubleshooting for Potency testing. Sam has over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of analytical testing capacities which include method development and routine sample analysis utilizing liquid and gas chromatography as well as wet chemistry techniques. His expertise is in creating and implementing methodology that is not only accurate and efficient, but exercises a high level of robustness, reproducibility, and traceability.

Steve Rulon

Human Resources Manager
Steve joined DYNALABS in October 2016 with more than 18 years of experience in human resources management.

Steve is a strategically driven human resources professional.  He has a solid background in multi-state and international human resources, talent management, talent acquisition, organizational development, HR legal compliance, employee relations and benefits and compensation.

Steve holds his Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and Masters of Science Degree in Human Resources Management and Development from National-Louis University in Chicago, IL


Ana Huttsell

Microbiology Manager
Ana began her career with DYNALABS in January 2013. She is responsible for overseeing day to day laboratory operations while maintaining compliance and quality assurance. Ana has 4 years of experience and an extensive background in microbiology routine testing which includes sterility, particulate, and endotoxin. She is also familiar with method suitability and rapid sterility techniques. Ana ensures processes, procedures, and productivity are maintained at a consistent level of high performance within the microbiology department.

Ana received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at Fontbonne University, in St. Louis, Missouri. During this time, she played Division III volleyball and softball and was the captain of her volleyball team.
